Encrypted data is transported from mobile devices via a secure SSL connection to the backend servers and stored in MongoDB. The data stored in MongoDB Atlas service on AWS is encrypted.
Key security measures in place are:
- Access control for staff
- White listed IP address to protect access from unlisted IP addresses
- Authentication and Authorization with separate accounts for read and write access
- Per customer and per application data segmentation within the hosting environment.
In addition to these measures, Bluedots production and development environment are completely isolated, minimising risk from development errors, to production data. Lastly, When stored within Bluedots environment, Bluedot client passwords, email addresses and all other such information is anonymised via a MD5 hash.
